Creating folders

To create a folder:

  1. Right-click the folder where you want to create a new sub-folder and select Create Folder from the shortcut menu. A Properties dialog for the new folder appears similar to the following figure.

The General property page contains system-related property values. Note that some properties are read-only and may not be edited.

  1. Enter the folder’s name and optionally, a comment about the folder. If you do not want the new folder to inherit its custom property values from its parent folder, disable the Inherited option on the General page.
  2. Enter values for custom properties as described in Viewing and editing inherited properties.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.
  4. If the security of the new folder should not be the same as its parent folder, assign different security levels as described in Assigning access levels to documents.
